Profile of University of Ballarat

The University of Ballarat is a modern university with its main campus located in Ballarat regional Victoria. The Univeristy was first established in 1870, as the School of Mines, Ballarat, making it the third oldest tertiary institution in Australia. With over 130 years of tradition and excellence.

AMI Education offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in association with University of Ballarat. The association between the Universtiy of Ballarat and AMI Education involves University of Ballarat controlling the quality of the courses and conferring the qualifications, whilst AMI Education provides the facilities, lecturers, tutors and student services.

All academic staff at AMI Education are approved to teach by University of Ballarat. Students are enrolled in University of Ballarat courses at AMI Education as University of Ballarat enrolled students and upon successful completion are awarded with University of Ballarat degree.

AMI Education is a University of Ballarat (UB) Partner Provider Institution. The curriculum of UB programs delivered at UB Partner Provider Institutions are the same as the main campus at Mount Helen. Application for Credit Transfer

If you have undertaken previous study with other universities or colleges, or other relevant experiences, we encourage you to seek credit transfer when you apply for your course.

Assessment

Assessments are conducted throughout the semester to ensure that students achieve their learning outcomes. Such assessments consist of written assignments (individual and group), oral presentations (individual and group), tests and final examinations. Students also engage in tutorial work and class participation to supplement the formal assessments. Final examinations can vary depending on each unit structure
