Program Objective

The MBA is a generalist's degree intended for those with some practical experience who now wish to widen their managerial knowledge and skills. The philosophy underlying this type of MBA is to enable you to deal with the many facets of management. The course aims to develop your critical thinking, research and analysis skills through individual and team-based work.

There is one MBA specialisation strand in Health Services Management offered by the University of Ballarat delivered at AMI Education.

Program Structure

Students will need to complete a total of 12 subjects to get their MBA. There are 7 core subjects and 5 electives for the General MBA. Students who opt for a specialisation will need to take mandatory subjects under their specialisation strands as stated below.

Program Quick Facts

Entry requirements

Successful completion of Australian undergraduate degree or equivalent at a recognised university and a minimum two years of working experience.

Candidates who do not meet the above criteria may apply to enter the program if they have 5 years relevant work experience at the managerial level and are assessed by the Program Coordinator.

13 months part-time (12 units)

Block mode/ weekends/evening class.

Intake

Every month starting July 2011

Timetable each month

Two sessions over two weekends (Friday and Saturday) – all day session with some breaks from 9am - 5pm.

½ day of the second session will be allocated to group presentations or similar assessment tasks.

Written reports due at the end of the month.

Examinations are scheduled for the second last day of the calendar month.

2011Tuition Fee

$1750 per subject or $21 000 for the whole program

2012 Tuition Fee

$1800 per subject or $21 600 for the whole program
