Student Job and Career Opportunities
In a refreshed initiative, AMI Education is providing an enhanced job and career readiness preparation program for our students. We prepare them with strategies to find and get a job that they want. We call this Program of Preparation their ‘POP’. POP aims to prepare the students, groom them and place them, to help them get a good start in life.
Eligibility for participation in POP:
- Only VET, and Higher Education students and only those who study at least a semester with AMI Education.
- Graduates who have completed their courses up to within 6 months of their completion of course.
POP includes:
1. Employment Group Training
The topics, among others, are:
- Introduction to Australian Workplace
- Cultural and Work Ethic
- Employability
- Resume Preparation
- Interview techniques and preparation
- Job Search Methods
- Job Retention
2. One-on-one Consultation
3. Placement Assistance
a) AMI Education is working in collaboration with a human resource specialist and recruitment agency to provide this service. Both AMI Education and this partner will also network with the relevant industries to enhance the job placement and career finding possibilities for all eligible students.
b) All eligible students at AMI Education will receive some form of assistance from POP. The overall best students at AMI Education will receive the best assistance from POP.
4. Seminars
In order to get part-time or full-time job placement assistance, all eligible students must attend Employment Group Training as often as required. This will help indicate their seriousness in the program. Training is scheduled throughout the year.
As can be appreciated, AMI Education cannot guarantee job/career placement. This is a function of market supply and demand and students’ own abilities. But we will try to equip students to be able to do their best.
