Grievance Procedure
AMI Education will attempt to resolve grievance issues on an
individual care basis. All students have the right to be
represented by a nominee.
The three steps are as follows:
1.
Informal Resolution
The student and lecturer will attempt to resolve the issue
through discussion.
If this process does not resolve the matter, the student will
proceed to step 2, Mediation.
2.
Mediation
Here the student meets with the Director of Studies to reach a
solution that is agreeable to all parties.
If the dispute remains unresolved then either party may request
an Independent Conciliator, Step 3.
3.
Independent Conciliator
An Independent Conciliator, ACPET representative would listen to
all parties and make a decision, which will be binding for all.
At all times the student may be represented by a nominee of
their choice.
More information can be obtained from the student handbook
and/or from the relevant Director of Studies.
